Allen and Kim Scott were honored as Outstanding Cooperators of the Year last month from the Susquehanna County Conservation District by District Conservationist Ain Welmon.
The Scotts live on the family farm in Franklin Township and raise dairy heifers. Conservation efforts include constructing a concrete barnyard and also a watering system to improve pastures.

He added, "When I find a story to tell I always promise the person being taped, 'I won't make you look bad on TV' and I don't." Copies of his four books, "Life in the Slow Lane" were part of a Silent Auction that helped finance youth educational conservational programs in the county.
Remembered at the dinner were Robert Warriner, a District Director from 2006-2009 and Clifford Tinklepaugh who served as District Director from 1962 to 2005 and an Associate Director until 2009.
