Montrose man injured in Vestal crash

Vestal, N.Y. police confirmed that Elmer Taylor, 75, of Montrose, was involved in a one-vehicle crash at about 1:25 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.
Taylor was traveling north on the Rt. 26, Vestal. Police reported that Taylor fell asleep at the wheel.
He was extricated from the vehicle by the Vestal Fire Dept.
Taylor was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Police did not comment as to the extent of Taylor’s injuries.
However, a spokesperson for Wilson Hospital confirmed that he was still a patient there on Monday morning.
