Jury to hear child sex case

share thisJury selection was held Monday in the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas in a child sexual assault case against a Springville area man.
Six men, six women and two female alternates were chosen to serve as jurors in the trial of Randy Allen Barker, 31.
Barker was charged by Trp. Gregory Deck with involuntary sexual intercourse with a child, a first degree felony. Incidents are alleged to have occurred in July and August 2008.
The Susquehanna County Independent does not identify victims of alleged sexual abuse.
The criminal complaint alleges Barker blindfolded the victim on many occasions and took advantage of the child.
The trial is set to begin Thursday, Nov. 12. It is expected to last only one day.
