Clown bandit robs convenience store

GREAT BEND TWP. - State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Susquehanna County convenience store by a man with a clown mask early Monday morning.

Police report that a white male wearing a blue blazer sport coat, blue jeans, sneakers and a clown mask with green hair robbed the Great Bend Twp. Sunoco store at 12:43 a.m. with a silver, long barrel revolver.
 
The clown bandit forcibly removed the cash drawer and exited the store.
 
He ran across Route 11 and was spotted by two males who chased him.
 
As the robber ran up the southbound I-81 on ramp to his getaway vehicle, he allegedly fired a shot at one of the males in pursuit.
 
There were no injuries.
 
The vehicle was described as a white, early to mid-90s two-door car, possibly a Chrysler product.
